Two nights ago, I took my daughter, Zoe, to a big-time concert: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. This was her first time at a performance by The Boss, who I’ve seen in concert dozens of times. I was thrilled to take Zoe to the show (in Greensboro, near where she goes to school, High Point University). We had super seats – front row on the side of the stage (bought at the last minute at face value). The concert was phenomenal. I’m usually a dreadful photographer, but it was hard to take a bad picture being so close to the stage. After the concert, I uploaded a few of my photos to Twitter and, much to my surprise, Springsteen’s official Twitter page re-Tweeted and showcased one of my pictures, blasting the photo to his more than 150,000 Twitter followers. The picture shows Springsteen dancing with a young girl he plucked from the audience during his song “Dancing in the Dark.” To the right is a screen grab of Springsteen’s Twitter page featuring my picture, with more photos below of the duo dancing just a few feet away from me.
